Meribel Ski Resort
In our opinion this is easily one of the world’s best ski resorts for intermediate skiers. But do not worry there are plenty of options for skiers of other levels looking for varied skiing for a week or more.
What you need to know is Meribel is the centre of the world-class ski area The Three Valleys, East of Meribel sits Courchevel and La Tania, to the west Val Thorens. This means there are plenty of options for everyone even beginners.
Some of the best skiing in the Three Valley’s can be found in Meribel Valley itself, although the sun can be an issue. It can also get busy and queues for lifts are common, however if you have lessons with The Snow School you have that extra advantage of priority lift line. As for finding the best runs, free from sun and slush, we know the best, quieter areas that don’t attract day skiers from other valleys.
As you might expect Meribel covers a number of resort villages: Meribel, Meribel-Mottaret, Meribel-Village and Les Allues. Accommodation is varied but Meribel is best known for its chalets. Ski in & out accommodation is available at various locations in the valley.
Meribel offers some of the easiest access to beginner’s slopes including those that are tucked away out of sunlight. Meribel overall suits all skiers and there are some challenging black runs here including those used in previous Olympics!
